Frequently asked questions
Anyone with a passport or Alien Registration Card (ARC) can activate both 4G and 5G prepaid SIM cards. For travellers, a passport is more than enough.
Yes, people under 19 can activate both 4G and 5G prepaid SIM cards. Students must bring their student ID card, enrollment letter, or visa grant letter. For travellers, a passport is sufficient.
The discounted prices of ₩30,000, ₩50,000, and ₩70,000 apply only on first-time activation. For subsequent recharges, the original prices (₩36,300 / ₩72,600 / ₩108,900) apply. The same applies to the 5G plan: ₩50,000 for first activation, ₩66,000 for recharges.
4G plans: Every month you get 300MB 4G data + 3Mbps unlimited after depletion, unlimited calls, and unlimited messaging, all within South Korea. 5G plan: Every month you get 100GB 5G data + 5Mbps unlimited after depletion.
Bring your passport or ARC card to the store to recharge. The recharge cost is ₩36,300/month for the 4G plan and ₩66,000/month for the 5G plan (original prices apply).
Once you get your ARC card, you will be able to change to cheaper post-paid plans.
Underage students must bring one of the following: student ID card, enrollment letter, or visa grant letter.
